On the road again and it feels right. I showed up in Arcata just in time to hold the alegria sign in the samba parade after busking at the farmers market. Today I did a little more street performance at the festival until I got kicked out of my spot. There was some words of inspiration from the stained glass vendor who said to me “love your faith, no matter what it brings you”. He said that maybe I only had to move so that I could play in a better place. Next thing I know I’m singing into a microphone on the lawn in front of audience, and so he was right. Today they had the all species parade and the little kids ran around with wings and ears while the drummers danced in the square. So far this is a good adventure and I look forward to seeing where this trip takes me. *poeina
